The date range for each roll book is the first and last date of attendance for the school year. The roll books for 2003 are dated 3/01/2003-20/06/2003 only.

Function / Content

This series consists of student roll books that record information about teachers and students at ANZAC Hill High School. Student details recorded include name, date of birth and admission number. The names of teachers are recorded. The statistics recorded in the roll books include number of students enrolled; total days of attendance and average days of attendance (per week and school term); and number of days that the school was open. Some roll books document occurrences in the community that might have affected student attendance such as excursions, and public holidays. Remarks and absentee notes in some roll books include reasons for students' absences. The roll book (W2, Withers, 1997) contains copies of the ANZAC Hill High School newsletter. ANZAC is the acronym for Australia and New Zealand Army Corps.
